Rashmi Ramesh started training in Classical Indian Dance- Bharatnatyam from the age of 5yrs. She holds a Teaching Faculty degree from the I.S.T.D(London) in Latin American Dance. Along with her classical training she studied Indian Contemporary Dance at Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, Bangalore where she did a diploma in Movement and Mixed Media, studying Lyrical Jazz, Classical Ballet, Kalaripayettu, Contemporary Kathak, Pilates, Yoga, Bharatnatyam, Anatomy and Dance Pedagogy. She has trained extensively in Salsa, Merengue and Bachata with Alex Diaz (U.S.A). She has completed her Yoga training from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in the Himalayas.
Rashmi has conducted several corporate workshops for Endress Hauser, Bharti AXA, L&T to name a few. Her performances include "Love is in the Air", a Broadway Musical; and performances at the prestigious Kala Ghoda Festival and at Prithvi Theatre. She has assisted Longinus Fernandes (Slumdog Millionaire, Guzaarish) for choreography in "love is in the air" and has also worked on choreography for the kids movie "Kaccha Limboo". She is also a dance and fitness trainer to many celebrities in Mumbai. She still continues her Bharatnatyam training at Mumbai. The learning never ends!
Along with conducting Salsa and Contemporary Dance workshops, Rashmi conducts Latin Dance, Bollywood dancing, Creative Movement, Yoga and Pilates for Kids and Adults!
